2 Week Of MTC
Hey Guys and Gals, my second week here --and I feel like it has been even harder than week one! I guess I just really miss everyone A LOT. Thanksgiving was yummy--but not as good as Grandma Susans’. On Thanksgiving I got to hear from one of the 12 apostles--Quinton L Cook! It was so incredibly awesome to see and hear him in person. He spoke about being grateful for the people who have helped me get to this point in my life and all the blessings I have gotten through the atonement. I mean it's crazy how much God has really blessed me! I could go on a tangent, but I'm very grateful for everything. Quinton L Cook also said gratitude will serve me well in life and keep me humble—this was definitely something good for me to hear.
Our entire MTC had a neat experience on Thanksgiving doing a service project. We made 353,975 meals, which is crazy! Our goal was 400,000 and we almost made it! The church has many wonderful projects they are involved in.
I've been slowly getting sick and my companion is in quarantine so I just switched to other companisonships. Many have been getting sick, and then I got really sick I tried to hide it haha. I got a bad cough and I feel numb but I will be just fine. Overall this week has seemed super long and tiring. I leave Wednesday at 4 am which is exciting but I also feel very nervous about it. I'm just ready to get out of here and get on with my Detroit mission. I feel like I will be much busier too. I decided Sundays are super long and we had 4 devotionals in one day--literally I feel as if I am shoving all the gospel I’ve missed down my throat so I take notes otherwise I'd forget. Anyways, I will email you again next Monday in Detroit MICHIGAN!
I have attached some photos for the week I hope you like. Thanksgiving Meal, Crumble Cookie from mom and dad, Christmas lights, a yummy sandwich I had and one of our devotionals had army men involved, stuff way. Love you guys
