First MTC Week

Hey guys, I have made it through my first week. It's been  a good, very long week. I miss all you guys but I've learned lots about the gospel and it's honestly really cool. Lot better than school, I actually want to learn this stuff. I've had 2 appointments with people and I killed it, we did really well and we had to abandon our lesson plan and we adapted really well, he wanted to know about the BOM but we ended up doing prayer instead, so it was cool. 
  

          classes have been boring but i have learned a lot at the same time, I feel ready to go out to the field but i do know i have more to learn, i have one more week here, the food is good, they have like mobettas style food which is dope. our discirct is respectfully dumb, they got up at 4:30 to go to the temple, and we didn't need to do that, we could gotten up later for that but whatever, the temple was awesome and its a pretty temple, havent been tired even tho i got up really early, thats a mircale, and to be honsest didn't feel so different because the MTC feels like a temple if you know what i mean. It is spiritual here and I feel the spirit quite often. In one of my teaching appointments I got to share that families are forever and got to share about Abbie and the experience . My room here is old and the beds aren't like the ones at home..... My companion and I are different people but we get along just fine. Elder Weston who is in my district is dope. We relate a lot, so that's cool. 


  it's overall a very spiritual experience and I love it but it's hard because I left you guys behind which makes it hard. i'll have to get better at email but for now, Miss you all, love you guys, and i'll talk to ya next week

The Difference

Think of the difference of your life without the Gospel and Jesus Christ's example.  Where would you be now?   What would you be doing?   How much different would your life be?   All that you know, the things that bring you peace, the things you enjoy you have been  blessed with, with all this you have, has it changed you?   One of the hardest things to do in life is change. I’ve reflected on how much the Gospel  has changed me. I feel like I've had 5 years of experience with having only being out for  what feels like a few months.   The Gospel helps us change when we follow it and live it, the change comes naturally  as God blesses us when we try to become like the Son.   As I look back from week to week, I see the change, though little, I see how each week  the Gospel helps me "overcome the world and find rest." New Perspective

I am in Detriot. The city. Downtown. Talk about New Perspective. The adjustment has been an interesting one, but I love it. This will most likely be the last area I serve in. I have moved up closer to some of my favorite missionaries. As I reflect on my mission, my perspective has changed in life completely. Perspective is the way we see things when we look at them from a certain distance and it allows us to appreciate their true value and act accordingly. An example, you don't know how much you miss someone until you don't get to spend as much time with them... Distance kills what's fake and shows you what's real. Perspective is the window you look through to perceive everything. Is your window clean or dirty? Perspective helps you to know where you are now and where you want to go.
