Happy New Year
HELLO EVERYONE!
Not a lot happened this week again, which drives me a little nuts, but what can I do? I am getting a lot of time to study and pray which is good! I really like being busy and I hope it snows a lot, like in Cache Valley, so I can shovel people’s driveways and/or people want to talk with me about Jesus Christ. Speaking of weather, there is no snow here anymore, and the temperatures is around the 40s here.
I did have the opportunity to go on an exchange (I swap companions for the day) with the zone leader this week and we talked to a lot of people, lots of people were interesting but 2 of them were babysitting. Some lady told us that we were prophets and everyone can be one, we tried
to explain that there is only one prophet and how everyone can receive revelation for themselves or their family, which she believed in, but she said she won't read the book of Mormon because her holy spirit told her no. People are interesting--Oh well, we kindly wrapped that discussion up and moved on, it was raining so we got pretty wet. We had a really cool experience today. We were getting haircuts and then someone called us and said they have someone who needed a blessing in the hospital. We went to the hospital right on Michigan campus and gave this 18-month-old baby a blessing. The spirit was really strong, but I struggled being in the hospital. It was hard to be back in the hospital because it reminded me of when we'd have to go to see Abbie and see the suffering she was going through. The hospital can be such a sad place, but I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to go and give a blessing. The baby had gotten knocked around by some dogs at home and hit his head and has a hard time walking and was throwing up the night before. It was hard for me to see this helpless little child in that condition, so please keep Jonah Custard in your prayers! Jan 11 is transfers, and the rumor is I'll be leading out the area with a new companion, but who knows?
Ah this week was New Year’s so HAPPY NEW YEAR yall! I had the opportunity to go to a nice dinner but wasn't really much more eventful than that. I did bear my testimony on Sunday and based off of what I bore testimony on I'm going to invite you all to LIGHT the WORLD all year long. A challenge! Another goal is to be more CHRIST LIKE, you'll be more blessed and happier! I've noticed it in my life! Anyways that’s all folks!
