New Area

I am in a new area now! Chelsea! Sadly, I had to part ways with Elder DaBell. I will still see him at zone conference though. For my first week in this area, I have found it’s a lot slower than the one before......it's like “the cutest little town in Carburetor Country” from the movie Cars...... nice town, but houses are very far apart. I'll send a picture to show how much bigger the area is than Ann Arbors. My new companion is Elder Lloyd, he is from Mesa, Arizona. He came out the same time as I did so we are basically pretty fresh, but we're having a great time. Our apartment is cracked, we have 2 bathrooms and our own laundry machines. It’s wild. I don't really have any stories, but I did get some more pictures of my friends before I left Ann Arbor! I'll add those below. I did get to bear my testimony in Sacrament this week. Stake conference was canceled and instead we just had testimony meeting, so I went up and introduced myself and bore my testimony. For a spiritual thought this week, it was a scripture that was shared to me and it is a good one.



Matt 6: 14-15

14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. 



Forgive others how you want to be forgiven. Life isn't fair but when we forgive people, in a way, we are putting it in the Lords hands, only He can truly forgive. Thanks again for all your support and prayers! Love you all!

The Difference

Think of the difference of your life without the Gospel and Jesus Christ's example.  Where would you be now?   What would you be doing?   How much different would your life be?   All that you know, the things that bring you peace, the things you enjoy you have been  blessed with, with all this you have, has it changed you?   One of the hardest things to do in life is change. I’ve reflected on how much the Gospel  has changed me. I feel like I've had 5 years of experience with having only being out for  what feels like a few months.   The Gospel helps us change when we follow it and live it, the change comes naturally  as God blesses us when we try to become like the Son.   As I look back from week to week, I see the change, though little, I see how each week  the Gospel helps me "overcome the world and find rest." New Perspective

I am in Detriot. The city. Downtown. Talk about New Perspective. The adjustment has been an interesting one, but I love it. This will most likely be the last area I serve in. I have moved up closer to some of my favorite missionaries. As I reflect on my mission, my perspective has changed in life completely. Perspective is the way we see things when we look at them from a certain distance and it allows us to appreciate their true value and act accordingly. An example, you don't know how much you miss someone until you don't get to spend as much time with them... Distance kills what's fake and shows you what's real. Perspective is the window you look through to perceive everything. Is your window clean or dirty? Perspective helps you to know where you are now and where you want to go.
