Transfer Week

Image
Another week and it was a great one. This week is transfers and I'm  excited to see what happens. We also had our Zone activity which  was a lot of fun and sadly some of the good friends I've made are  going home. Other than that we met some new friends this week that  I believe can be baptized here shortly! I also ordained someone to the  office of an Elder because they wanted me too! It was super  awesome and I feel humbled he'd want me too.  As of my pictures, I met Elder David L Buckner of the area 70 for the  New York Mission. I told him to go find Noah and give him a hard  time. He said, let's get a selfie and I'll do it. He gave a super good talk  and he mentioned how Elder Holland talked about how we know  who's going to win in the end (Jesus Christ and his followers) and  how we are still down here trying to pick a side!  We know who's going to win in the end, so respectfully let's ask the  Lord what we can d...

Wrong Turn

Image
This week was a good one, I had an exchange with the ZL (zone  leader) and I met some incredible people.  As you'll see in the photos below, I met a man who wants to be called  "JB". He was super funny and said he wanted to 1v1 in basketball.  He said I look like John F Kennedy..... haha. I can definitely say the  spirit helped me with what I had to say and what scriptures to share. I  can tell my study of the scriptures has been worth every second, as I  learned in a talk, the spirit will pull from our "reservoir" of knowledge.  With each time we study, it "fills up" my reservoir of the gospel and  the spirit helps me teach! It’s incredible.  From my other pictures you’ll see I found myself in an ally with a lot of  paint and there were Jesus references everywhere! It was a reminder  that we can find Jesus everywhere in our lives if we look for it....  One thing I have been studying a lot is personal revelation and  ...

Doing The Work

Image
This week was zone conference, it has been the best one I've been too. We talked about how life is hard and missionary work is not easy. What really hit me is when they said, we are not the only ones to ask is there another way? Jesus Christ asked his Father in heaven the same thing. We're not the only ones to ask. But how lucky are we to have the Saviors atoning sacrifice to help us through our life. I know for a surety that the Atonement can help in any aspect of our lives and the reality is we should always be trying to improve ourselves to become more like Jesus Christ. He wants to help us, just like the analogy from the Prodigal Son, His hands are always outreached to us. Another thing I want to point out is the fact that like the father saw him coming and ran to meet him, which in Jewish tradition, I learned, it was not polite or kosher, but he did and the fact that he was watching out for him. It's the same for us today and our relationship with our Heavenly Father. ...

Another Week

Image
This past week has just been one of those weeks, but it was a good week. Not  much happened, yet I did get to visit Marcia on her farm and have lunch with a  good friend Linda.  From the pictures below you can see Marcias farm was in a movie and she's  also been on a TV show on Disney+ called Dr. Pol.   Apparently, the duck I held a while back, "Miss Duck" is a famous duck, haha.   Because this upcoming week may be Fast Sunday for all of you, I'd like to talk  about it. When Alma the Younger is converted, he sees an angel. He rarely talks  about it, he only talks about it to his children.  When he does preach, he talks about his testimony, about prayer and fasting.  Imagine if you saw an angel, that would be wild! Yet from Alma's account and  testimony we know he was converted by prayer and fasting, not the angel.  Alma 5:46; Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy  Spirit of God. Behold, I...
