Ghetto

I am now in Dearborn Michigan. I can't say I'm a fan, but one thing is for sure it's ghetto, all of it.



As of this week, General Conference was an absolute blessing, I could write a whale of all of the things I learned and wrote down. What a blessing it is to be a part of the true Church where we have a Prophet. This Conference was a game changer.



As I've been on my mission, I've seen how ultimately Jesus Christ is the only person that can truly help people. We’re not converting or convincing people to "our church", we are bringing them to Jesus Christ’s true church. That's what is so special about President Nelson who taught about including the full name of the Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It’s His Church, and when we take Him out of it, it's a win for Satan.



The more and more I study about other Church and our doctrine, I see how blessed we are and how the truth some of us may not be super grateful for. Some people long for it, it's beautiful and it's true.



Anyway, as for this week, we had an interesting experience. We were biking and we were stopped at a light to get directions. A lady walked by and I said hi and she kept walking. I got a promoting to go talk to her, so I rode over to her and upon seeing her face, she was in tears and just shaking her head as she told me "no english". My duolingo has not payed off, as all I could say was " amigo espanol" while holding up my phone. She waited as we called the Spanish Elders and it was a blessing they were able to answer. I'm not sure what they talked about, but I know the Spirit was there. I'm excited to see what is in store for her in the future, I know we were in the right place. As I like to say, "Another win for Jesus!"



The Church is true, Jesus Christ is our Savior and He loves us and is very aware of us. I'd like to echo the words of Conference, "Think Celestial”, your life will be better as you study the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Amen

The Difference

Think of the difference of your life without the Gospel and Jesus Christ's example.  Where would you be now?   What would you be doing?   How much different would your life be?   All that you know, the things that bring you peace, the things you enjoy you have been  blessed with, with all this you have, has it changed you?   One of the hardest things to do in life is change. I’ve reflected on how much the Gospel  has changed me. I feel like I've had 5 years of experience with having only being out for  what feels like a few months.   The Gospel helps us change when we follow it and live it, the change comes naturally  as God blesses us when we try to become like the Son.   As I look back from week to week, I see the change, though little, I see how each week  the Gospel helps me "overcome the world and find rest." New Perspective

I am in Detriot. The city. Downtown. Talk about New Perspective. The adjustment has been an interesting one, but I love it. This will most likely be the last area I serve in. I have moved up closer to some of my favorite missionaries. As I reflect on my mission, my perspective has changed in life completely. Perspective is the way we see things when we look at them from a certain distance and it allows us to appreciate their true value and act accordingly. An example, you don't know how much you miss someone until you don't get to spend as much time with them... Distance kills what's fake and shows you what's real. Perspective is the window you look through to perceive everything. Is your window clean or dirty? Perspective helps you to know where you are now and where you want to go.
