Transfers

These past few weeks have been good ones. Sadly, this week was transfers and they  took my trainee from me. I will miss Elder Hatton a lot. He taught me how to pray in  Spanish and honestly I learned more from him than he did from me. He was top G. I am  excited for him as he is going to preach in Detroit in Spanish.

We have been very blessed and have had the opportunity of putting our friend Julia on  date for Jan 13th! As we were talking about baptism, her husband Mark said he wants  her 16 year old daughter, Juliana to be baptized as well. We are going to have a lesson  with her this Sunday. I've been thinking about it and I want to be able to explain the  importance of the Gospel and how it is simply the best way to live life. There is nothing  else we should put above trying out best to love God and understand His will for us.

I know without a doubt that living the Gospel and living up to our eternal potential is the  best way to live life. I am glad it is simple and it starts with building our FAITH, which  leads us to REPENT. There is no better way to live than to not make the same mistakes  of yesterday. We Then follow the example of Jesus Christ and get baptized, which I  recently learned washes away our impurities and when we promise to keep the  commandments we get the Gift of the Holy Ghost. As I have done simple things like praying, reading scriptures, going to church and taking time out of my week to show respect to God, He blesses me with having the Holy Ghost with me. The best way I can explain it is when you have a "oh that makes sense" moments with those questions we have and wonder about from day to day, it really is a higher way of thinking. It follows with a feeling of peace and comfort which only He can bring.

One thing I liked about my study this week was how important the sacrament is. "It is a time where we can reflect on the things that trip us up spiritually, and ask God to help us get rid of them from our life." I have come to find that always trying to improve every aspect of our life, helps keep me disciplined in doing the things I know I should do. It helps my life feel more fulfilled. I hope you can find the same as you reflect on your personal life. I know Jesus Christ loves each and every one of you and has wonderful plans for you all.
