Snowy

These past 2 weeks have been good and long. We got lots of snow and our friends are getting closer to baptism! Lana just needs to be taught the rest and she's ready! I am looking forward to it. Because it's cold outside people seem to hunker down and not want to talk, or they're out of town to a warmer place.


It's halfway through the transfer so that means we had a zone conference and since last year our baptisms had doubled. The work really is moving forward and it's so cool to see President Nelson's prophecy come to light in front of us. President Nelsen said we will see more miraculous manifestations of the Lord's power in the coming days. It's truly a sight to see.


As of my pictures, our car ran out of gas which was an L. We got a lot of snow, which a lot of you did as well. Other than that, we did meet an awesome family this week and they said they're all gonna come to church! I look forward to people starting the new year on the right foot. There is no better way to start it by strengthening your relationship with Jesus Christ. Even though everyone says it and it may seem clique, it truly is the best way to live life, I've seen it, there is so much peace and love to find in it!

The Difference

Think of the difference of your life without the Gospel and Jesus Christ's example.  Where would you be now?   What would you be doing?   How much different would your life be?   All that you know, the things that bring you peace, the things you enjoy you have been  blessed with, with all this you have, has it changed you?   One of the hardest things to do in life is change. I’ve reflected on how much the Gospel  has changed me. I feel like I've had 5 years of experience with having only being out for  what feels like a few months.   The Gospel helps us change when we follow it and live it, the change comes naturally  as God blesses us when we try to become like the Son.   As I look back from week to week, I see the change, though little, I see how each week  the Gospel helps me "overcome the world and find rest." New Perspective

I am in Detriot. The city. Downtown. Talk about New Perspective. The adjustment has been an interesting one, but I love it. This will most likely be the last area I serve in. I have moved up closer to some of my favorite missionaries. As I reflect on my mission, my perspective has changed in life completely. Perspective is the way we see things when we look at them from a certain distance and it allows us to appreciate their true value and act accordingly. An example, you don't know how much you miss someone until you don't get to spend as much time with them... Distance kills what's fake and shows you what's real. Perspective is the window you look through to perceive everything. Is your window clean or dirty? Perspective helps you to know where you are now and where you want to go.
