The Way Of Detroit

It seems like with the recent weather our friends have found more reasons and excuses. I personally feel like winter is a good time to "get ahead" while things slow down.... either way we got a family to church this week which was SO GREAT.

They had a great time and it's special to see the ward be involved in the work. They help so much to our friends, they got a bed for some of the kids, they bring by groceries, they are legitimate friends to them, WHICH is how it should be. It means so much to me, and I can't imagine how the Lord feels, it brings me so much joy.

We got back in touch with Lana and we are helping her get a job, and I am at a point where I feel imense (Spanish word for huge) gratitude to the Lord for him trusting me with teaching these people. This work is so important and even though the spirit is doing the work, I get to be the messenger.

The love I feel for these people is almost crippling. I know I'll never be able to wrap my head around the Lords love for each of us, always there, always there to help, shows us tough love, shows us Charity.

I will miss my mission, though I may not miss Michigan, I will miss the people. It's not what you do, it’s who you do it with. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I have met in my life, and I'm grateful for every one of you. Thanks for the support and your prayers. I know without the Lord and the people in my life, I wouldn't be where I am today.

D&C 88:67
And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.

Te amo!
