You Are Still Here
If you are reading this, there has been nobody or nothing that has stopped you.
No one, no thing, anything has been done to you, you are still here.
Nothing so far has stopped you.
You are capable of a lot more than you know. We all are.
God is are on your side. As Elder Kearon said in the last conference
"God is in relentless pursuit of you."
Are we in relentless pursuit of Him?
God loves us more than we will every understand. He wants us to return to Him and He has given us so many things so we can learn from Him. To list a few, the book of Mormon, Prophets and Apostles, Revelation for us and those we have stewardship over, the Priesthood and those around us that should be helping us.
Are we using these as much as we should?
I'm not perfect, but it is quite breathtaking to think about how much God has done for us. I don’t think we will every know until the next life.
There are lots of things we won’t know until the next life.
One of those is the potential of those around us. When we think of people, almost every-time it is what they've done to us and what we've heard about them.
It's hard to forgive those that did wrong to us, however there are profound promised and blessings when we do..
10 promises about Forgivness
1. Tranquility to the Soul
2. An Increased Capacity to Love
3. A Nobler, More Courageous Soul
4. A Peace That Is Otherwise Unattainable
5. Greater Self-Esteem
6. Healing for the Wounded Soul
7. The Problems of the Past Will Stop Dictating the Future
8. The Savior's Power to Help You
9. A Partnership with the Savior
10. A Sweeping Away of Guilt
I want to point out sometimes. We need to forgive ourselves, we shouldn't expect perfection from ourselves, nor from others, but we can expect others to put in effort to live more Christ like lives.
It starts with me, you, all of us. Be the good you want to see in the world.
I've been in Clarkston for 6 months, I will be leaving this Friday and all I know is I should be in downtown Detroit and I will be doing follow up training for a new Elder.
Thank you all for your prayers.
