I Love Being A Missionary

Image
I had an awesome week!  We had many service opportunities this week and I love it. It's fun to  help people especially when they don't have time or are unable. I'm  very grateful I get to help them.  I did get to go to the farm and drive a tractor. It was lots of fun and  they said they are gonna teach me some more farm stuff. We also got  a lot of eggs....  We met some incredible members this week. One lady who was the  first Black Captain on a battleship gave us lots and lots of food. She  showed us into her barn and there she had 3 Corvettes and 2  Camaro’s, mind blown. She also has a Bad Boy lawn mower, she's  business.   We also found a geo cache, which was cool. I had an exchange with  the DL (District Leader), it was a good time. I do want to say I love  being a missionary, even though Chelsea isn't an area where people  are super open minded. We met lots of cool people and can help  them.  ...

Well another week.  It was a good week! We met with a lot of members and gave a blessing to one.  It was a surprise, but a welcome one. It was funny because I was just talking to  my companion, Elder Olsen about being worthy and ready for administering  blessings earlier in the day, and well!   It was good to be worthy and prepared! The spirit was strong and it was good  for my 2nd blessing We picked up a new person named Lee this last Sunday. She is elect and was  busy, but she really wants to talk to us. We also went to a lady named Linda for  service, we walked her dogs. She was super excited to see us, she loves  missionaries, but isn't a member.... just like Marcia. We went to Marcia’s farm  this week and sadly no pictures because we were busy. I had a killer dinner at  the farm, but stay tuned for my friends, we’re working on them. We also called  Larry and shared this scripture; Mosiah 24:14, And I will also ease th...

Hello Family and Friends,  Another week is down. I got a new companion, Elder Olson. He has  been out for 18 months? So he's a seasoned Elder, but he's a good  egg.  Speaking of eggs, Easter went well and we had a big turn out for  church! The Spirit was very strong at church and we invited a bunch  of friends.   We ran into some interesting people this week. One guy told us that  the world was flat and fluoride blocks the spiritual receivers in your  brain......we will not be back.   We are also going to be on the farm on Wednesday and be there for a  huge dinner! I'm excited about that! We also met with Larry! Larry is  a legend and he's the guy who doesn't have his shirt on. He's super  down to earth and if we get him baptized, I'd be levitating. We have  taught him the first lesson of the Gospel which was received well and  he accepted more lessons.   I won't make this email too long, but ...

Hey Everyone,  Sorry for the late email. For news this week we were going to put our  friend Houston on date for baptism.... then they weren’t home, sad.  But good news we watched all of Sunday Session with him. I also  won’t be going to the farm until next week. We also are getting a  change around here in Chelsea. Elder Lloyd is sadly going and I am  staying.  I'll find out where Elder Lloyd is going later tonight. On the bright side  of things, General Conference was awesome!   Brother Brad Wilcox’s words from Zone Conference will have to wait  because General Conference had so many good things in it! I wrote  17 pages of notes. It's not a contest, but I hope you guys got lots  from general conference! I highly recommend everyone watch and  take notes, it changed the way I watch and listen to General  Conference and feel spiritually nourished to say the least.   I'm sure you guys all remember our Pro...
